As the weather becomes 'bibbering' cold, with the temperature dipping to a negative more than once, know that our Chalets are ready to blanket you with cosiness and warmth - that which you and your family have come to love.We have ensured, that as soon as you start driving to Sudwala through the squiggling roads in between the Mankelekele Mountains, and stop at the main gate to hear the bubbling sound of the Houtbosloop - that everything is set and ready for your safe return to the Lodge.

Dear Valued Shareholders,

As always, our main objective is to create an environment where all our guests can experience a memorable holiday with family and friends. We are ecstatic about your imminent return and know each guest will create everlasting holiday memories to cherish for a lifetime.

The Sudwala Team misses our shareholders and other guests, dearly. Please rest assured that, as always, your health and well-being is our top priority. Sudwala Lodge has always maintained the highest health and sanitation levels, but in light of COVID-19, have implemented further measures to ensure that the Lodge remains in tip-top condition.

As a team, throughout lockdown, we took the time to tackle various projects at the Lodge. We started by deep cleaning the entire Lodge, hereafter doing numerous small upgrades on the Chalets, then giving Grotto's Treats a facelift. We moved on to the gardens where we placed stepping stones, and lastly, we installed an exciting new feature in Reception: a cave-like stone basin to wash your hands - upon arrival.

We deeply revere our team who stayed behind during the lockdown period. As a team, we certainly made things happen, and we were stronger together! We are, however, looking forward to the next chapter – your return.

We will welcome you with the same - if not more - warmth, eagerness and hospitality that you've come to love about Sudwala Lodge.

What shall we liken this period to?

It is like a farmer who wakes each morning and heads out into his field to water a planted seed. He planted it, nurtures it and knows that a might tree is busy growing there, but right now, the tree is not visible. Though the field remains bare, he knows that every drop of water, every weed removed and every bit of compost added is his investment in the fruit to come, that will bring nourishment and joy.
